History:  When Zeli was a young boy, about the age of seven, some rebels infiltrated his home and killed his entire family. His mother, his father, his two younger twin sisters and older brother. He was the only one they spared, as they found it amusing to see a young boy cry over his dead family. Zeli fled his home, which had been in the middle of the woods, and to the town. He had found guards, and tried to explain to them what had happened, but they only laughed at him. The guards had told him that it was only fitting that they be slaughtered for living outside city limits.

 

Zeli, in great despair, tried to tell the city folk of what had occured. Some listened half-heartedly and told him the same things the guards had. Others didn't even bother with the young child; thinking him a mere orphan who was out to beg for money or food. Zeli left the city, in search of someone who would truly listen. He finally came across an old woman sitting outside her home, deep within the forest. She harkened unto to him and gave him food as he explained. Once he was finished speaking, she said that the guards would be of no help, nor would the city or town's people. She told him that the only people who could help him, were the Brotherhood of Redshield. They were a group of assassins who could help him find the people who killed his family; and kill them.

 

Zeli took the old woman's advice and began his journey to search for the Brotherhood of Redshield. When he found one assassin from the Brotherhood, he was nearly nine years old, but he had never forgotten what the people looked like who had taken the lives of his family. He approached the assassin and asked him for help in tracking the men down. After some time in pondering the boy's words, the assassin had the young boy follow him to their keep; an old run down stone castle that was hidden between two large mountains. The boy was brought before the Brotherhood's leader, a man known as Kaj. He told Zeli to explain why he was there, and Zeli did. After great consideration, Kaj told him that he could join the Brotherhood if he could prove himself to the Brotherhood of Redshield. His first task was to kill a traveler by the name of Dani. The man had been rumored to have robbed stores owned by the elderly, taking everything they had and killing them afterward.

 

Zeli agreed, and after training up a bit with one of the Brotherhood's own; Reese Maki, they set off to find Dani. Reese was an older fellow but he definitely knew what he was talking about, and had great skill. He showed Zeli how to move about while stalking someone, in such a way to keep him unknown to the target. He kept training with him as the two traveled. They trekked for two months before coming upon the town of Avenfrost, where their target was last seen. They traveled for another week until they finally caught sight of the man known as Dani. Zeli was able to sneak up behind the man and slit his throat with a blade Reese had given him. Dani had crumpled to the ground and was no more.

 

Zeli got to keep the knife as a reward for killing the man without struggle. Reese and Zeli returned to the Brotherhood of Redshield's headquarters, and stepped inside the castle through the hidden entrance; a heavy wodden door closest to the mountainside. Zeli presented the head of Dani before Kaj and the man allowed him to side with the Brotherhood of Redshield.

 

He fought and trained alongside his new companions, slaying those who went against their beliefs or attacked them. Zeli kept searching for the people who murdered his family, because he knew that when he found them; he would kill them where they stood. Reese had once asked if he believed they were caught and killed for their crimes. Zeli disagreed. He knew they were still out  there.
